Over the years, Self magazine has transitioned from a traditional form, print media, to a fully digital style and format. Distributed all over the United States, Self magazine utilizes social media platforms, a newsletter subscription, eBooks, and online articles to engage with an audience that chooses the internet over traditional magazines. In these different platforms, they use branding methods such as their websites and their links to read full articles and other links to articles that the reader could possibly be interested in. Subscribers to Self magazine receive their newsletters monthly and are able to see recent updates and current articles with the click of a button. Self magazine is a subsidiary to their main publisher, Conde Nast, but still remains a very popular and well known brand in the realm of digital media. On their website, Self.com, Self magazine focuses on community, wellness, inclusivity, and health. All of these digital techniques involving branding with websites as well as social media and online newsletters to gather a larger audience as well as increase the distribution of my issue and our magazine as a whole. Our magazine is targeted towards a younger audience and this form of digital distribution would be more beneficial because it is a more effective and logical way to distribute the issues.
